hey mel,
i dunno if this would interest you or if you even have enough time but there's this missions fest thing at the vancouver convention and exhibition center. it's happening between the 27th to the 29th. admission is free and you have to pay $7 for the rally. it's basically focusing on different 'sub-ministries' within missions. there are different speakers doing seminars and whatnot. you can go to www.missionsfestvancouver.ca for more info.
i know that on saturday there are seminars focusing on:
- How to reach the Buddhist world
- The new Europe and its effect on the church
- Effective ministry to underground alternative sub-cultures
- Alpha in the workplace
- Is the Qur'ran the word of God?
- Reaching and redeeming the sexual generation
(just to give you an idea of what kind of stuff they talk about)
